| My boyfriend, Dan, and I planned a trip to Florida to visit some family and to visit Disney World (which is my most favorite place on earth!) The second day we were there we went to the Magic Kingdom. As soon as we got there we went on a few rides including Pirates of the Carribean. After which Dan told me he was hungry. Now, anyone who knows Dan knows that he is NEVER hungry. It was only 11:30 and so I suggested that we grab something at the restaurant that was right in front of us so that we wouldn't waste anytime to go on rides. He suggested we go "somewhere else"... He began leading me back to the center of the park where there was only one place we could possibly go.. Cinderella's Royal Table. Shocked I can remember telling Dan that we couldn't eat there because we would need reservations and they need to be placed 6 months in advance. He smiled slyly and said "I have everything taken care of". We walked up to the hostess desk, where we were greeted and seated immediately. We had our photo taken with Cinderella and then up the spiral staircase, we entered a huge cathedral height room. The hostess led us to a table in the corner which over looked the carousel. We had our lunch and were waiting for our dessert to be brought to the table which seemed to take quite a while. Suddenly as I was chatting with Dan about which ride he wanted to go on after this, I saw his eyes look at something behind me and he began to stand up. The waitress was carrying a dome covered platter and followed by a Disney Photographer. She placed it in front of me and then lifted the cover to reveal a bed of red rose petals and perfectly placed in the center was a real miniature glass slipper which held a beautiful engagement ring wrapped around rose petals. Engraved on one side of the slipper was our names and on the other side was a line from our song by Ben Folds "The Luckiest". Immediately my eyes diverted to Dan who was now on his knee in front of me. His eyes were glossy as he held back tears, he asked if I would marry him. I said "YES!!" of course : ) The photographer continued to take 50 photos as Dan and I both cried together in happiness. It was the most beautiful and memorable proposal I have or ever will have heard of and I feel so lucky to have it had happened to me. I get choked up even writing it now. Every day I am grateful over and over again for Dan, and I wonder how I ever got to be so lucky.
