Corrine Crocker-Luby has been a wedding planner since 1990, she was designated a Master Bridal Consultant TM by the Association of Bridal Consultants in 2001—a designation held by just 21 out of 4,500 members worldwide. Corrine, whose work has been featured extensively in the local media, including NBC 30, Eyewitness News 3, the Hartford Courant, Connecticut Magazine and Brides Connecticut, is also a member of Bridal Show Producers International and produces six annual bridal shows in Greater Hartford. Floral Designer

It’s all about the details with floral designer, Gabriele. “Beautiful flower arrangements and stunning table designs are the result of my complete devotion to thousands of intricate details,” says Gabriele. A professional floral designer since 1992, Gabriele, whose inspired florals have been featured in both Grace Ormonde Marriage and Southern New England Weddings, is also a fine artist whose oils have won awards throughout New England. It’s a combination that makes her superb at interpreting the artful influence flowers can have on your wedding day, whether via graceful blooming arches, glorious tented environments or a truly inspired color scheme for a one-of-a-kind bridal bouquet. A devotee of lush and lovely romantic blooms like old-fashioned roses, peonies and hydrangeas, she keeps things current via several cottage-style gardens of her own on the grounds of her early 20th-century estate. “Gabriele’s eye for color and texture is truly a gift,” says Corrine Crocker-Luby. “I’ve been graced with the opportunity to have worked with her for many years, and yet her creative designs never cease to amaze me. Helena

Floral Designer

Helena combines the unquenchable enthusiasm of a recent bride with 14 years of hands-on experience as a professional floral designer to create inspired bridal bouquets and floral arrangements that she hopes brides will “treasure” for a lifetime. “When I was a bride I wanted vendors to focus on me and only me,” says Helena. “Now I take great pride in giving future brides my undivided attention in order to ensure complete success for their own once-in-a-lifetime.” Like to keep on top of the latest trends? Helena is constantly searching for new flowers, new combinations, new styles and, above all, the latest new colors to accent her designs—and her lucky brides. “Flowers are my passion,” sums up Helena. “When I am able to hand a bride her bouquet and see in her face how much she loves it captures me. It’s what inspires me to go further.”

Ross

Music Director

“Ross is a master musician, and I’m thrilled to have him as a key member of the Corrine Weddings team,” says Corrine Crocker-Luby. Ross has had a trumpet close by his side since the fourth grade. In the years since, the Windsor native has received a B.A. from the Manhattan School of Music and began a career as a middle school band director and music teacher in order to mold the musicians of tomorrow. These days, however, Ross’s mission is to orchestrate beautiful weddings. “No two weddings are ever the same,” says Ross. “I enjoy being a part of each couple’s special day and working with them to create the perfect mood they’re looking for.” “Music sets the tone for a wedding,” adds Ross, and says he is “ready and willing to go the extra mile” to help each couple choose the notes that will define their day of days. Soloists, duos, trios or a full-bodied classical quartet (trumpet, flute, cello and violin) can all be arranged. If you are looking for something unique and non-traditional, you may want to consider a trio of trumpet, guitar and bass. With this trio, not only will you get the elegant music for your ceremony as you walk down the aisle, but this ensemble can quickly and easily change tempos and jump into some swinging, toe-tapping standards of Cole Porter and George Gershwin for your cocktail hour or dinner. This is a wonderful way to get your celebration started! When you’re ready to jazz things up at your reception there’s the jazz band Ross leads with a repertoire that includes everyone from Duke Ellington to Benny Goodman, Billy Joel to Bob Marley.

Bruce

Videographer/Cinematographer

Who doesn’t love a “love story”? Our wedding videographer/cinematographer, Bruce certainly does—and he’d like to make you the star. “I firmly believe in the power of real-life movies to capture the sights, sounds and emotions of a wedding, perfectly” says Bruce. As for the star part, he is rare in using high-definition cameras mounted on a highly sophisticated Steadicam (the kind they use in Hollywood) to bring what he describes as “a floating dreamy elegance” to the real-life motion picture he then creates of your wedding. “I have an eye for emotion and enjoy capturing the emotion of real people doing real things,” says Bruce. The Steadicam provides beautifully “natural-looking footage” that today, tomorrow and even 20 years from now will transport you right back to the moment you felt your heart loudly beating as you said “I do”—and the tears will likely flow once again.

Dawn

Photographer

Photography is more than a profession for Dawn—it’s a calling. “Photography is a continual journey of astonishment, discovery, enthusiasm and pride,” says Dawn. A former model with a sharp eye for detail and practiced talent for posing each bride in just the right light, Dawn combines elements of traditional wedding portraiture and photojournalism to tell the story of each day using all-digital technology and state-of-the-art leather albums. “Photographing two people together adds another dimension to the experience: relationship,” says Dawn, “My goal is to show not only what each person is like individually, but what they are like as a couple, as friends and as a family.”
